 Mobile App Engineer Summer Internship

Cloud9 Online is a Hartford, Connecticut based digital health and wellness company developing Science-Powered, Clinically Designed, Personalized Meditation Therapy using cutting-edge technology. Cloud9 Online is seeking a summer intern for 12 – 14 weeks starting the week of May 10, 2021.

The ideal Cloud9 Online Mobile App Engineer Intern is deeply inspired to leverage technology in a way t hat benefits humanity in a powerful and scalable way. In this role, the Cloud9 Online Mobile App Engineer Intern will innovate the MediMind and MediGrade digital platform by bringing the following resources to bear so that our customers will be able to experience mindful wellbeing from anywhere in the world when they need support most.

As our Mobile App Engineer Intern, you will work with our VP of Platform Management in order to advance Cloud9’s B2B and B2C product agenda. You will be a full member of our mobile application team working on feature development of our cross-platform mobile applications. You will collaborate closely with other team members as well as engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Source Code development in React Native

  • Quality Analysis of source code

  • Graphic design and photoshop skills

  • Realm database understanding and creation

  • Participates is Agile Development Process

  • Participates in design and strategy sessions for new apps participates in team discussions and group development sessions

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science and/or within 2 years of their post-graduation date

  • Experience in building native/hybrid mobile apps and WebViews on iOS or Android using ObjC, Swift or Java

  • Web application development experience with a JavaScript framework such as Angular, Ember, React/React Native, Flux or similar

  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS

  • Experience with AWS

  • Experience measuring UI/App performance, especially around UI response time and network use

  • Experience in performance tuning network connected applications

  • Experience with Agile development methodology (ex: Scrum)

  • A passion for developing fluid user experiences

  • Must be either a CT resident, or entering into their Junior or Senior year at a college or university. Grad student at a CT college or university are also encouraged to apply.

Rate

Project Management Internship

The ideal Cloud9 Online Project Management Intern is deeply inspired to leverage technology in a way that benefits humanity in a powerful and scalable way. In this role, the Cloud9 Online Project Management Intern will innovate the MediMind and MediGrade digital platform by bringing the following resources to bear so that our customers will be able to experience mindful wellbeing from anywhere in the world when they need support most.

As our Project Management Intern, you will manage organization of key client projects. Your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline. Specific project manager responsibilities include developing detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation and delivering every project on time within budget and scope. You should be an excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks. you also need to be a team player and have a problem-solving aptitude.

Responsibilities:

Support the Project Management team by:

  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation

  • Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

  • Ensuring resource availability and allocation

  • Developing detailed project plans to track progress

  • Using appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule & costs

  • Measuring project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

  • Reporting and escalating issues to manager as needed

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business and/or within 2 years of their post-graduation date with a minimum GPA of 3.5

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Must be either a CT resident, or entering into their Junior or Senior year at a college or university. Grad student at a CT college or university are also encouraged to apply.
